Hi and welcome to my little corner of internet insanity!
Now I'm sure you're asking yourself, "Why is she using words like insanity and describing herself as a crazy woman. Isn't this about recipes and crafts?"
Yes it is!
It's about tips, tricks, and yes, recipes and crafts I hope will make your life just a little more sane, a little less hectic like it has mine.
Who am I? Well, I will try to keep my rambling to a short minimum. For the past 22 years I have been mom to 3 wonderful kids, 2 girls, now 22 and 19, and a son 17. I have also been blessed to be married to a wonderful, man for 22 years. Most of this time I spent at home, raising the kids and taking care of the household. Then 15 years ago, we bought a piece of property and lived on it while we were building. It was completely undeveloped, which led to the biggest challenge of my life. I had to build a household in the middle of a construction zone from nothing. and I DO mean nothing! Our biggest challenge was the electric. The local company wanted an astronomical amount just to run their lines in. We checked out our alternatives and decided to go off grid. For those that don't know what that means, it means we make all our own power. Using solar and wind power with a diesel generator for back up, we gutted the house and redesigned it for our needs. Now we have a nice cozy Eco-friendly house, the kids are almost all moved out, and I have a TON of things to share that I have dug up over the past 15 years.
So, let's get started! I'm going right now, to work on my first project.
If all goes well, I should be posting it within an hour. If not, well, I promise I will still post the epic fail story as well!
